International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study and practice of the interactions between sovereign states and other political entities on a global scale. It encompasses a wide range of issues including diplomacy, conflict, trade, human rights, and environmental concerns. The field examines how countries cooperate, compete, and influence one another, as well as the impact of international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and multinational corporations. IR also considers the theoretical frameworks and ideologies that shape global politics, such as realism, liberalism, and constructivism. Through the analysis of diplomatic strategies, international agreements, and global governance, IR seeks to understand the complexities of global affairs and to promote peace and stability in the international system.
