Geopolitics

Geopolitics refers to the study of the effects of geography (human and physical) on international politics and international relations. It involves analyzing the strategic influence of geographic factors such as location, resources, and physical terrain on political behavior and power dynamics among countries and regions. Geopolitics considers how countries leverage their geographic position and natural resources to pursue their national interests, engage in diplomacy, and influence global affairs. It often includes the examination of relationships between political entities, the emergence of geopolitical theories, and the impact of global issues like territorial disputes, security strategies, and economic interactions on states’ behavior in the international system.
